Flourish is an upbeat children's song inspired by a quote from the Baha'i Teachings, "O my God! I ask Thee, by Thy most glorious Name, to aid me in that which will cause the affairs of Thy servants to prosper, and Thy cities to Flourish. Thou, indeed, hast power over all things!"
The moral themes and character-building content of the music focus on different virtues, human values, and qualities - such as kindness, truthfulness, generosity, love, and patience - that are found within all the world's religious, cultural, and spiritual traditions.

O my God! O Thou forgiver of sins, bestower of gifts, dispeller of afflictions! Verily, I beseech Thee to forgive the sins of such as have abandoned the physical garment and have ascended to the spiritual world. O my Lord! Purify them from trespasses, dispel their sorrows, and change their darkness into light. Cause them to enter the garden of happiness, cleanse them with the most pure water, and grant them to behold Thy splendors on the loftiest mount. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá This song was made by Corbin Doak using AI.

Insights from the Field: Podcast explores the contribution of the Bahá’ís of Uzbekistan to society
BAHÁ’Í WORLD CENTRE — In a recent podcast episode from the News Service, Farrukh Rasulov, a member of the Bahá’í Office of Public Affairs of Uzbekistan, explores contributions of the Bahá’ís of that country to social progress over the past decades.
The Bahá’í Faith has been present in what is now Uzbekistan since the 19th century, when it was part of the same broader region as Ashgabat (in present-day Turkmenistan), where the first Bahá’í House of Worship was constructed under the guidance of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. Around this temple emerged schools for both girls and boys, inspired by the Bahá’í principle of equality between women and men.

BIC New York: Rising support at UN General Assembly resolution criticizing Iran for persecution of Bahá’ís
NEW YORK — The United Nations General Assembly has rebuked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its human rights violations, including against the Bahá’í community, saying in a new resolution that Bahá’ís and others faced “ongoing severe limitations and increasing restrictions” on the right to freedom of thought, conscience, religion, or belief.
Eighty countries voted in favor of the resolution, with 27 against and 68 abstentions.
The vote marks an increase in General Assembly support for the annual resolution—which in 2023 received 78 votes in favor.

COP29: Exploring new approaches to climate action
BAKU, Azerbaijan — Delegates from the Bahá’í International Community (BIC) at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) explored how the principle of humanity’s oneness, along with new approaches to consultation and decision-making are essential to addressing the climate crisis more effectively.
In reflections shared with the Bahá’í World News Service following the conference, Daniel Perell of the BIC’s New York Office observed: “A climate governance framework negotiated through norms of division and opposition undermines the collaboration and unity humanity needs to address the planetary nature of the crisis.
