Children's Corner
Each month we will share something for the children in this section of the newsletter. It may be a video, a website, a project, a song, etc. We hope the children like this and get something from our newsletter as well.
|
Thankful is an upbeat children's song inspired by a quote from the Baha'i Teachings, "Be thou happy. Be thou grateful. Arise to render thanks unto God, that thy thankfulness may conduce to an increase of bounty." The lyrics are from Ruhi Material's Book 3 about "Teaching Children's Classes." A link to their website with more details can be found at: https://www.ruhi.org/en/teachers-corner/ The moral themes and character building content of the music focus on different virtues, human values, and qualities - such as kindness, truthfulness, generosity, love, and patience - that are found within all the world's religious, cultural, and spiritual traditions. Music for Spiritual Education goes beyond traditional children's nursery rhymes with upbeat kids' music that is both fun, catchy, and inspiring. The playful yet sophisticated creations are designed to delight kids, help them memorize powerful character building quotes, while at the same time keeping the adults in their lives listening and dancing along! Bahá’ís see the young as the most precious treasure a community can possess. In them are the promise and guarantee of the future. Yet, in order for this promise to be realized, children need to receive spiritual nourishment. In a world where the joy and innocence of childhood can be so easily overwhelmed by the aggressive pursuit of materialistic ends, the moral and spiritual education of children assumes vital importance. For more details on the Baha'i view of children's classes and other educational or development initiatives visit: https://www.bahai.org/action/family-l... These conscious songs will inspire and motivate your kids to learn, memorize, and dance every step of the way!

O my God! O Thou forgiver of sins, bestower of gifts, dispeller of afflictions! Verily, I beseech Thee to forgive the sins of such as have abandoned the physical garment and have ascended to the spiritual world. O my Lord! Purify them from trespasses, dispel their sorrows, and change their darkness into light. Cause them to enter the garden of happiness, cleanse them with the most pure water, and grant them to behold Thy splendors on the loftiest mount. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá This song was made by Corbin Doak using AI.
