From the Spiritual Assembly
Allah’u’Abha! Dear friends,
Dear Members of the Bahá'í Community,
We greet you all with the warmest love and appreciation for your ongoing efforts in building a unified and spiritually vibrant community. At this time, we would like to reflect on the sacredness and significance of the Bahá'í electoral process, which plays a pivotal role in the life of our Faith.
The Bahá'í electoral process is unlike any other, distinguished by its spirit of selflessness, devotion, and reliance on divine guidance. As we prepare to elect our delegates to the National Convention, we must remind ourselves that these gatherings are not merely administrative procedures, but spiritual undertakings that bind us together as one global family. They are vital to our collective journey toward justice, unity, and the advancement of the Cause of God.
A Process Free from Campaigning and Personal Ambition In our Faith, the absence of campaigning and self-promotion in the electoral process is a powerful testament to the principle of humility. Our elections are conducted in an atmosphere of prayer, with each voter seeking divine guidance to select those individuals whose character, wisdom, and ability to serve the community are most fitting. This approach reminds us that it is not personal ambition or popularity that qualifies one to serve, but one's capacity to reflect the virtues and principles of the Bahá'í teachings.
Consultation and Unity The Bahá'í electoral process fosters an environment where consultation, not competition, prevails. Every vote is cast without discussion or factionalism, allowing for a free and pure expression of each voter’s conscience. This process ensures that no divisions are created, and no personal agendas take root, safeguarding the unity of the community and reinforcing our commitment to spiritual harmony.
A Reflection of Justice and Service Justice is at the heart of the Bahá'í Faith, and it is this same principle that animates our electoral process. By participating in these elections, we fulfill our duty to uphold justice by ensuring that our local Spiritual Assemblies and administrative institutions are comprised of individuals who are ready to serve with humility, wisdom, and dedication. This process provides every eligible member of the community the opportunity to participate fairly and equitably, reflecting our belief in the oneness of humanity.
A Source of Inspiration and Renewal Every Bahá'í election is an opportunity for renewal, both for the individual and for the community as a whole. As we come together to cast our votes, we are reminded of our higher purpose and of the divine forces guiding our decisions. The process is imbued with spirituality and reminds us that every aspect of Bahá'í administration, including our elections, is part of the unfolding plan of God for the unification and betterment of humanity.
In closing, dear friends, let us approach the Bahá'í electoral process with hearts full of reverence and gratitude. Let us pray for guidance and act with purity of intention, recognizing that our participation in this sacred process is a form of service to our community, to the world, and to the advancement of the divine civilization envisioned by Bahá’u’lláh. May we all be inspired by the principles of unity, justice, and love that underlie our elections, and may our actions contribute to the ever-advancing progress of the Faith of God.

Children's Corner
Each month we will share something for the children in this section of the newsletter. It may be a video, a website, a project, a song, etc. We hope the children like this and get something from our newsletter as well.
Sincerity is an upbeat children's song inspired by a quote from the Baha'i Teachings, "We should at all times manifest our truthfulness and sincerity."
The lyrics are from Ruhi Material's Book 3 about "Teaching Children's Classes." A link to their website with more details can be found at: https://www.ruhi.org/en/teachers-corner/
The moral themes and character building content of the music focus on different virtues, human values, and qualities - such as kindness, truthfulness, generosity, love, and patience - that are found within all the world's religious, cultural, and spiritual traditions.
Music for Spiritual Education goes beyond traditional children's nursery rhymes with upbeat kids' music that is both fun, catchy, and inspiring. The playful yet sophisticated creations are designed to delight kids, help them memorize powerful character building quotes, while at the same time keeping the adults in their lives listening and dancing along!
Bahá’ís see the young as the most precious treasure a community can possess. In them are the promise and guarantee of the future. Yet, in order for this promise to be realized, children need to receive spiritual nourishment. In a world where the joy and innocence of childhood can be so easily overwhelmed by the aggressive pursuit of materialistic ends, the moral and spiritual education of children assumes vital importance.

OLord! Make this youth radiant, and confer Thy bounty upon this poor creature. Bestow upon him knowledge, grant him added strength at the break of every morn and guard him within the shelter of Thy protection so that he may be freed from error, may devote himself to the service of Thy Cause, may guide the wayward, lead the hapless, free the captives and awaken the heedless, that all may be blessed with Thy remembrance and praise. Thou art the Mighty and the Powerful.
